If you are having trouble making the right anti aging food choices because of all the diet and nutrition messages that are out there today, you’re not alone. But just focusing of the 5 power foods in this article can really take you in the big step and the right direction.
One my favorite power food is salmon, that’s because it’s rich in an anti aging fat called omega 3. Omega 3 helps promote shiny hair, strong nails and soft skin, and if you have soft skin, it minimizes the appearance of fine lines.
My second favorite power foods are blueberries. These are loaded with antioxidants and though they are small in size, the fact is there are actually more than 300 plant chemicals in every little berry. They are loaded with a pigment called Anthocyanin which are three times the benefit of Vitamin C. They also help to reduce free radical damage and slow the aging process.
My third group of favorite power foods are lean dairy products. These includes yogurt, low fat cheese, and low fat milk. Calcium is probably the most benefit that we can get with these dairy products which helps our bone mass but it’s also important to promote healthy blood pressure levels.
Another one of my favorites is green tea, it’s not exactly a food but there are some creative ways that you can use to cook with it. It’s loaded with antioxidants, has antibacterial and anti-fungal benefits. It also has little element called EGCG, this allows you to have 3 or 4 cups a day, keeping up your metabolism by about 80 calories.
Last but not the least is red wine. Red wine is probably more steady than any other food for a large group of plant chemicals called flavonoids, which help to improve our heart health and minimize free radical damages against aging.
